In today’s era, women’s are walking shoulder to shoulder with the men. Whether
it is business, service, or to contribute to the progress of the country. Women are doing their contribution with full honesty. India got independence in 1947. But even after 74 years of Independence, women don’t have the respect and dignity that men have. Do not know how many crimes women bear silently.
One of them is domestic violence. In 2020, the maximum cases were registered in
India during the lockdown in Covid-19 period and don’t know how many cases which have not even come to fore yet. Despite having so many laws and women’s service helpline number, women shy away from coming forward. Even educated women hides these matters. Have we ever asked ourselves? Why this is happening, what is lacking in rules and laws? All this is because of the thinking of today’s society. The girls are silenced by their own family so that their respect remains. When her own family is not in her support, then what can we accept from others. Some women become silent because of their children. So many fall silent in the love of their husband and die after suffering. Even widowed women bear cruelty of their in laws. They even tolerate such a shameful act rape. Her so called father in law, brother in law does such kind of acts. And all this happened only with the encouragement of small minded people. What people and relatives will say, which Silent the girls. And when that girl takes wrong step, then also she is not given rest, society starts gossiping about girl and start blaming her and start making fun of her. Instead of teaching girls how to behave
in her in laws house, Parents start explaining to the boys you are taking someone’s pride and trust, to keep them safe with love, affection, and most important respect and dignity.
From childhood, girls are considered less than their male siblings. If girls are of stubborn nature, then they are told to live softly. Which is completely wrong, if she is of a stubborn nature, then do not consider it as her weakness and start considering it as her strength so that in future when she is witnesses any kind of violence in her in-laws house, she can face it. When the girl already hints at some violence, then take a stand for her. It is the duty of citizens of India, that if you see domestic violence or any kind of violence around you, then take stand against it, maybe tomorrow she may be your sister or daughter. You’re one step can save some innocent’s life.
In our country girls are worshiped as goddess and then those girls have to face violence. And this is requested to all the girls, love can wait, children will also be raised. Start fighting for your rights and raise your voice against domestic violence, our Indian Constitution gives rights to everyone. Go to police station or court, tell them about the crime against you. It is my request to all the parents, understand your daughter’s point of view, what she wants to say, one of your negligence can risk to your daughter’s life, the same upbringing you provide to your sons, give to your daughters, they will keep you better than your sons and the love, respect you deserve in your old age.
Today’s women are worth more than men, tell all those people who understand you less, break all the restrictions. Spread your wings and fly in the blue sky where all your dreams come true, marriage and children can wait but your dreams can’t wait. Make your dreams come true and shine like a bright moon.
